Identity verification issue – Bolivia not supported

Hi

I spent about 30 minutes trying to verify my identity in the app, and only after multiple attempts did I find out that Bolivia is not currently supported.

Because of that, the app doesn’t accept my passport or national ID, so verification is impossible from my country.

Please consider enabling Bolivia or at least making this limitation clearer in the verification flow. Appreciate the work you’re doing!

    Hi! Sorry about this. In the case of Bolivia, what we are missing are the signing certificates that the Bolivian government used to sign their passports. Without it, the app cannot verify the authenticity of the ID, even if the scan passes.

    The app currently waits to read all the data from the chip to try to retrieve the corresponding certificates, so that’s why there’s no warning prior.

    However, for countries like Bolivia, where we don’t have any certificates at all, we could show a warning straight after scanning the MRZ (since the country is known at that point).
